Bar Hill Village Hall is a hall that stands in the centre of Bar Hill on a corner of the village green and is available for anyone to hire.
The hall was first built in 1974 for the use of people in the village as a social centre, place to meet and to hold educational and recreational classes for all residents.
The Village Hall is a registered charity and is run by a committee of 10 members who act as trustees as the hall is owned by the Parish Council. The hall has had 2 small extensions/alterations over the years and for the last five years we have worked hard to raise enough funds to carry out an extensive alteration and extension of the building in order to bring it up to date, make it fully accessible for disabled people and generally improve the facilities for all users/hirers.
Early in 2005 we were able to put in place the funding required for the project. This came from a number of sources, Parish Council, District Council, local groups and our own savings. Work commenced on the project in July 2005 and finished at the end of Septermber 2006
We now have a large main hall with a multi purpose vinyl floor which makes it ideal for all types of events. We have a kitchen alongside the hall with a large serving hatch making it ideal to use both rooms together if you want to have a party or disco and want to serve any drinks or refreshments. We also have a small meeting room with its own independent access
